|
Edmonton turned a good effort from starter Jacob Simpson into a win over the Southern California Empires at Drillers Field. The final score was 4-2. Southern California's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Had Eric Dehn not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Dehn hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Drillers.
Southern California manager John Andrews, after the game, said, "Right now, we're just not getting that big hit."
