Tigers Stick Canadians with 5-2 Loss
|
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Hamilton Park.
Hamilton registered a win at Hamilton Park by beating the Sherbrooke Canadians, 5-2. Pitcher Howard Berard was one reason why the Tigers triumphed. Pete Block earned the save for Hamilton, his 5th of the year.
The Tigers got a big at-bat from right fielder Mike Dunlap. For the game, Dunlap was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Hamilton a 3-0 lead.
Hamilton manager Tim Ebbers called it "a pretty good win."
Hamilton now sports a record of 13-18.
