The Las Vegas Rollers knocked off the Newark Eagles, 4-0, in Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit action at Eagles Park. Las Vegas pitcher and Huixtepec, Mexico, native Rodrigo Vidales had an outstanding performance. Vidales yielded no runs over 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 4-1. The win for the Rollers lifted their record to 15-15.

Jason Ybarra, who finished 3rd in the SPBC in hits with 104 in 2006, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ybarra contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Las Vegas up, 2-0.

"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Ybarra.
