The Allentown Fleetwings overcame a pretty good performance by Green Bay catcher Johnny Wallace, beating the Braves, 10-8, at Fleetwings Ballpark. Wallace was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Fleetwings have an impressive 18-11 record.

The decisive blow was delivered by Steve Abraham in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Schraufnagel to win the game for Allentown. The home crowd went nuts.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Abraham, "but we got it done."
