Buffaloes Rally Late to Nip Rollers
In a low-scoring contest between the Winnipeg Buffaloes and the Las Vegas Rollers, Izaiah Sanders was the X factor. The Winnipeg left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Jamie Stewart snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-2 on the season. Felipe de la Cruz suffered the loss. With the win, Winnipeg has a record of 14-13. Las Vegas falls to 13-14.

Winnipeg won the game in part because of Jeff Gerig. The catcher ripped a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Buffaloes ahead, 3-2. For the game, Gerig had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Sanders.
