Tineo Hits Two Homers in 7-4 Win for Quebec City
|
Juan Tineo was a major contributor to the 7-4 Quebec City win over Allentown. The Admirals designated hitter was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Rick Bowen earned the win for Quebec City. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 3-2. T.J. Johnson earned save number 5 this season.
With Quebec City trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Tineo hit a knuckle curve from Steve Post for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Admirals ahead, 3-2.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Tineo.
The Admirals sit in 5th place in the East Division with a record of 15-12.
