The Southern California Empires and Calgary Caracals completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Southern California Empires beat the Calgary Caracals, 6-4. Southern California pitcher and Tucson, Arizona, native Aidan Kelly led the way. Allan Tiefel got credit for the save for Southern California. It was his 6th of the year.
It could have been a different outcome for Southern California, had it not been for Ben Ledlow, the 30-year old third baseman . Ledlow contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Southern California up, 2-0.
In postgame comments to the Southern California Times, Ledlow said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
Calgary has now lost 4 consecutive games.
