Bruins Rally Late to Clip Saskatoon
|
The Bruins grabbed a win, 3-2, at Moose Grounds, overcoming a fine effort from Saskatoon pitcher Dave Murray. Murray went 6.2 innings and allowed no runs. Vancouver, with the win, is 9-17.
Felix Pennington came through with a big-time hit for Vancouver. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Vancouver manager Amir Johnson praised his team's "energy."
