Eagles second baseman Ken Borchers put his stamp on his team's 8-5 win over the Saskatoon Moose. Borchers was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Newark in the contest. Cody Reilly earned his 6th save, after closing out the game. The second-place Eagles hiked their record to 11-8.

Newark used a well-timed hit by Nick Maniates to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Eagles ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Newark manager Elijah Jackson.
