The Ottawa Capitals picked up a win at Capitals Stadium, downing the Winnipeg Buffaloes, 4-3. On the mound for Ottawa was right-hander Markus Niemikorpi, who played a pivotal role in the win. Pedro Hernandez, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Ottawa has an impressive 13-6 record.

Andy Warring, who is tied for 8th in the SPBC in RBI with 14, helped out the Ottawa cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.
