The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

Las Vegas got a decent performance from pitcher Chris Clary, but it wasn't enough to beat the Detroit Chargers. Detroit won the Chargers Field contest, 7-6. Clary threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. The 4th-place Rollers have lost 4 consecutive games.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Detroit. That's when Josh McBride hit a 2-run double off 33-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Randle to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Carlos Ventura.
