Newark Eagles starter Jason Schiavo pitched well against the Allentown Fleetwings at Eagles Park, leading his team to a win, 5-4. Alfredo Martinez earned the save for Newark. With the loss, Allentown drops to 8-5.

Newark took a 5-2 lead on Billy Walton's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Walton hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Allentown pitcher Danny Teague visibly frustrated.

Newark manager Elijah Jackson called it "a darn good win."
