Sherbrooke Defeated by Green Bay, 3-1

Green Bay turned a good performance from starting pitcher Lisuarte Apstola into a 3-1 triumph over the Sherbrooke Canadians at Canadians Park. Apstola, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Adam Lucas collected save number 2.
Green Bay used a well-timed hit by T.J. Baxa to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Braves ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
"Lisuarte giving us the start that he did was huge," said Green Bay manager Joe Sanchez.
Green Bay is now 4-4.
