The Albany Senators had to overcome a fine effort from Ottawa pitcher Bob Wallace to win, 2-1, at Capitals Stadium. Wallace went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Jim Feldman collected save number 1. Ottawa now is 4-2.
The Senators got a big at-bat from third baseman Rick Anderson. For the game, Anderson was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Albany a 2-0 lead.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Anderson.
