Mercado K's 12 En Route to 7-2 Canadians Win
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Quebec City Admirals home opener. John Frost started for the home team against Ricardo Mercado for the Sherbrooke Canadians. The Admirals were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 7-2, Sherbrooke. Ricardo Mercado, though, was impressive.

Mercado, who was born in Daphne, Alabama, threw 126 pitches over 9 innings, while allowing 2 runs.

"Ricardo was better than good. He was sensational," said Sherbrooke manager John Guzman.
