Caracals Move on to SPC Classic Series Wednesday, October 11th , 2006 The Calgary Caracals are one step closer to the SPC Classic Series. The club prevailed 14-4 at Drillers Field tonight to eliminate the Edmonton Drillers and advance to the SPC Classic Series. The Caracals won the series by a 3-1 margin, with first baseman and series MVP Willie Aranda leading the way. "I'm proud of all the guys," Aranda said. "This was a team effort, not just me." The Calgary Caracals will play against the Albany Senators in the next round. Albany won their series against the Ottawa Capitals 3 games to 0.
