Senators Win Division Series Thursday, October 5th , 2006 The Albany Senators are bound for the Division Championship Series. A 9-7 win over the Hamilton Tigers at Senators Field ended the Division Series, 3-1. "We're not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but it's hard not to get pumped up and excited and think about how this season could end," said John Whitmyer. "This could be the biggest celebration Albany has ever seen if we can win the SPC Classic Series." The state of the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit championship remains in doubt, but the Senators certainly appear to be strong contenders. Whitmyer was named MVP of the Division Series after he posted a .400 batting average, while adding 0 home runs, driving in 4 RBI and scoring 3 runs. The Albany Senators don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Newark Eagles - Ottawa Capitals series. Newark leads the series 2 games to 1.
