September's Best Batter Announced Sunday, October 1st , 2006 September was an outstanding month for Vacaville first baseman Ross Dowty and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Batter of the Month award. Dowty compiled a .343 batting average and .484 on-base percentage for the month. In 20 games he piled up 24 hits, 5 home runs, 25 RBIs and 18 runs scored. So far this year, Dowty is batting .324 with 7 home runs, 29 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
