Star Player Turnbull Placed on Waivers Friday, September 15th , 2006 Hamilton Tigers's closer, Steve Turnbull, may not be with the Hamilton Tigers this time next week. But team officials were unconcerned when approached by reporters about the news. An anonymous team official said, "Look, this type of thing is a transactional issue. Sometimes a player like Steve is put on waivers this time of year, it's nothing personal and it is nothing final. We are just moving pieces around at this point." While that may be true, Steve Turnbull likely feels a little less loyal to the Hamilton Tigers than he felt yesterday. |
