van Krimpen Walks Away from the Game Thursday, September 14th , 2006 Harrie van Krimpen announced his retirement today according to sources inside the Quebec City Admirals organization. van Krimpen, who is 39 years old, gave reporters some of his plans for the near future. "I'm going to do a lot of hunting and fishing," he said. "I've always been focused on getting ready for the next season, so maybe now I can slow down and enjoy time away from it all." van Krimpen went back and forth with the press in a friendly manner during his press conference. "I'm sure there's a small-mouth bass out there with my name on it," he said. van Krimpen has a career spanning 23 appearances. He has earned no saves and posted 100 strikeouts in 141.1 innings. His record is 8-8 and he has a 4.33 ERA. |
