Mike Reed Wins SPBC Trophy Monday, September 4th , 2006 A hot-hitting week got Mike Reed the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Southern California third baseman slammed them for a .583 average, 7 hits in 12 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. In the postgame press conference, Reed shared his hitting philosophy with the BNN scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them... nothin' more than that." For the year, Reed is batting .314 with 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
