Cruz goes 3-for-4 as Fleetwings Squeeze Past Quebec City
The Allentown Fleetwings and Quebec City Admirals obliged fans looking for a good time.

The Allentown Fleetwings turned back the Quebec City Admirals, 7-6, at Fleetwings Ballpark. Mark Cruz, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. The save went to Joel Brewer, number 1 for him.

With Allentown leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Cruz hit a 2-run single off Quebec City hurler Allan Tiefel. It was the 99th hit of the season for Cruz and put his team ahead, 3-0.

Fleetwings manager Craig McCain wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

The 5th-place Fleetwings sport a record of 41-46.
