Senators Double Up Hamilton, 6-3

Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Hamilton Tigers take on the Albany Senators.
The Albany Senators cut down the Hamilton Tigers by the score of 6-3, with the largest share of the credit going to first baseman John Whitmyer. Whitmyer was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Senators. Josh Pizzo picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 9 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 13-5.
Seth Shupe helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Senators.
"I think it just wasn't our night," said Hamilton skipper Tim Ebbers.
With the win over Hamilton, the Senators improved to 43-34.
