Senators Capture Close Win
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Albany Senators and Allentown Fleetwings.
Allentown got a terrific performance from pitcher Brian Miller, but it wasn't enough to beat the Albany Senators. Albany won the Senators Field contest, 4-3. Miller threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Austin Richards got credit for the win, improving to 7-6. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.
Heriberto Rodriguez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, he reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. His at-bat helped Albany get the win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Rodriguez said after the game.
With the win, the Senators have a record of 40-32.
