Rollers Lose at Home, 7-4
|
Bob Brown left his imprint on the 7-4 Winnipeg win against the Las Vegas Rollers. Brown, who is tied for 8th in the SPBC in triples with 2, went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. The winning pitcher was Jamie Stewart. He's now 6-8. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Buffaloes. The Buffaloes go to 31-38, putting them 7th in the West Division.
Winnipeg used the hitting of Chris Kayser to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Buffaloes on top, 1-0. For the game, Kayser had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Kayser told a Winnipeg Today reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
