The Detroit Chargers defeated the Allentown Fleetwings, 12-6, at Fleetwings Ballpark. Detroit was led by 26-year old second baseman Dan Criddle, who hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The Chargers improved their record to 26-38 by beating Allentown.

Detroit used a big swing from Julio Miranda to get the win. The shortstop walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Chargers up, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.

"We've got some hairy guys on our side, too," said Detroit manager Carlos Ventura.
