The Allentown Fleetwings defeated the Detroit Chargers, 8-4, in Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit action at Fleetwings Ballpark. Allentown pitcher Sean Talbert had a standout performance. In 6 innings, Talbert surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. By defeating Detroit, the 5th-place Fleetwings improved to 30-31.

Steve Abraham had a big 3-run home run for the Fleetwings in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Allentown leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Matt McMorrow and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 9th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fleetwings ahead, 6-0.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Talbert. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
