The Saskatoon Moose faced a tough opponent in Allentown pitcher Ricardo Mercado, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Fleetwings Ballpark by a final score of 3-2. Mercado went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Kevin Crawford closed it out for his 10th save. The Moose, at 41-18, sit in first place in the West Division.

Saskatoon used the timely hitting of Cameron Buss to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Moose on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Buss said afterward that "winning, obviously, is the main objective."
