Edmonton Rallies for 5-4 Victory
|
Edmonton went toe-to-toe with Quebec City before a winner was decided.
The Edmonton Drillers downed the Quebec City Admirals, 5-4, in 10 innings at Quebec City Grounds. Kent Beaton led the way, going 4-for-5 for Edmonton. Edmonton reliever Frank Cramer picked up the win, upping his record to 4-7. Cody Reilly took the loss.
Edmonton used the timely hitting of Dan Seagraves to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Drillers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Winning never gets old," said Drillers manager George Muller.
With the win, Edmonton has a record of 36-23. Quebec City falls to 29-30.
