Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Allentown Fleetwings got the win.

Allentown registered a win at Estadio Azteca by beating the Mexico City Aztecas, 4-2. Pitcher Ricardo Mercado was one reason why the Fleetwings triumphed. Zach Blumke got credit for the save for Allentown. It was his 12th of the year.

Allentown used the hitting of Mark Cruz to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Fleetwings on top, 2-0. For the game, Cruz had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Zack Englund.

So far in 2006, Allentown is 26-29.
