The Newark Eagles took on the Southern California Empires at Eagles Park.

Eduardo Olivo was terrific for the Newark Eagles in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Southern California Empires. His performance earned Olivo the victory. Olivo got the win, improving to 1-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Josh Bartell closed out the game, earning his 9th save.

In the bottom of the fourth, Newark designated hitter David Serna had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Serna stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Newark. For the game, he went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
