The Calgary Caracals picked up a win at Caracals Stadium, knocking off the Detroit Chargers, 4-2. On the mound for Calgary was left-hander Danny Beasley. He played a key role in the triumph. The first-place Caracals have won 5 straight games.

The game came to a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Calgary trailing 2-0, Chris Ramirez delivered the big blow, hitting a fastball from Jim Riebel for a grand slam home run. Just like that, the Caracals had a walk-off win.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Beasley.
