|
The Detroit Chargers topped the Ottawa Capitals by a score of 14-8. Leading the way was third baseman Cole McIver. McIver went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 8 for the Chargers. Detroit goes to 6-10.
McIver broke a deadlock in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he hit a 2-run single, putting Detroit up, 10-8.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," McIver told the Detroit Gazette.
