Caracals Win, 4-0, at Winnipeg
|
Alberto Tapia never let the Buffaloes get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Caracals to a win, 4-0. Tapia picked up the win for Calgary, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Now 12-4, the 2006 Caracals have been sensational so far.
It could have been a different outcome for Calgary, had it not been for Ruben Anguiano, the 28-year old third baseman . Anguiano contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the sixth inning to put Calgary up, 2-0.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Anguiano told the Calgary Bulletin.
