Casey Bacic knocked in 3 runs to help Edmonton beat Mexico City, 6-5. The Manistique, Michigan native tallied 1 single and 1 home run. Edmonton reliever C.J. Messer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. John Wigton absorbed the loss. Mexico City, at 2-12, is off to a dreadful start in 2006.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Edmonton trailing 5-3, Bacic hit a fastball from John Wigton for a 3-run home run, giving the Drillers the walk-off win.

"Sometimes you get the ball in the right spot and it goes," said Bacic.
