Caracals Win Squeaker, 3-2, Over Steelheads
|
The Calgary Caracals earned a close win over the Vacaville Steelheads, thanks in part to Ryan Ferraioli. The Calgary right-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The Caracals, now 6-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Rick Earp was the walk-off hero for Calgary. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Caracals designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Earp said in his postgame press conference.
