Braves Lose to Eagles in Walk-Off
|
The Newark Eagles earned a close win over the Green Bay Braves, thanks in part to Sid Brumbley. The Newark right-hander played a key role in the 18-inning, 2-1 victory. The Eagles, now 6-3, have been playing some good baseball.
Newark got a knockout punch from Mike Parker. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 18th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This place was rocking at the end," Brumbley said.
