McFadyen Gets Award for Relief Work Thursday, October 20th , 2005 He may only be 25, but Matt McFadyen of the San Francisco Peanuts has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Professional Baseball Circuit. The reliever was today named the PBC Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2005. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 15 saves in 40 relief appearances and 112 strikeouts in 90.2 innings. He had a record of 4-4 to go with his 1.49 ERA. Ze-dong Phan of the Houston Mavericks finished second in voting, while Dave Kaminski of the San Francisco Peanuts finished third. |
