Ray Jackson Signs $2,200,000 Deal with St. Louis

A wave of jubilation swept over St. Louis today as fans and team officials celebrated the signing of Ray Jackson.
Despite the fact that the St. Louis Lions will have to pay out $2,200,000 over 2 years, he will certainly draw fans to the park. Let's just hope they don't crank up ticket prices!
In his 511-game career Jackson is batting .253 with 435 hits, 104 home runs, 277 runs scored and 318 RBIs.

Lopresti Signs with Keystones for $9,500,000

28-year-old shortstop Matt Lopresti has inked a deal with Philadelphia. Many baseball people question whether he is really worth $9,500,000 over 5 years.
However, the team thinks that Lopresti will be a solid contributor this season.
Lopresti is hitting the ball at a .255 clip over his career. In 432 games he has delivered 360 hits, 21 home runs with 140 RBIs and scored 143 times.
