Peanuts Win Cup Qualifier Thursday, October 6th , 2005 The San Francisco Peanuts beating the Houston Mavericks in the Cup Qualifier won't go down as one of the classics, but it's certainly memorable for series MVP Ron Clous. "Any time you win a series it's a great memory, but this one is special, too, as I felt really great out there," he said. "Baseball is a lot of fun when you're in control like that." San Francisco won the final game by a score of 3-1 at Mavericks Ballpark and took the series 4-1. The special series from Clous included a 0.00 ERA over 12 innings pitched.
