Texans Starter Wins PBC Pitching Award Saturday, October 1st , 2005 In September, when the name of Greg Claussen appeared on the Dallas lineup card it was a virtual lock on a victory. He started 5 times and chalked up 4 wins and no losses. With those stats it was also a virtual lock that he would be named the Professional Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Month. Claussen shackled opposing batters on 32 base hits and a .221 batting average. He rang up 32 strikeouts in 40.1 innings of work, surrendered 14 walks and fashioned a sparkling 2.01 ERA. Currently Claussen has a record of 9-5 with 90 strikeouts and 43 walks in 131 innings and a 2.89 ERA. |
