Another Setback for Detroit's Alex Cosme Tuesday, September 13th , 2005 The Detroit Motors announced today that Alex Cosme would be missing for longer than expected as the 28-year-old center fielder recovers from back spasms. "Alex had been working out with the team recently, but felt some discomfort yesterday," the Motors GM explained to the press. "After re-examining the injury, the team's medical staff decided that Cosme would need extra time to heal. Their estimate is one week more recovery time." Looking at his present stats, Cosme has compiled a .262 batting average in 71 games with a .312 on-base percentage, while hitting 6 home runs and driving in 41 runs. |
