Taylor Bashes 5 Base Hits Thursday, September 8th , 2005 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Zack Taylor today. Taylor went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Boston pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Blues Field, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the New York City Blues had a 11-2 victory over the Shamrocks. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Zack Taylor hit a two-run home run off Mario Sanchez in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Mario Sanchez in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. In his stats this season, Taylor has posted a batting average of .282 with 42 hits in 149 at-bats, 12 home runs and 31 RBIs. He has also scored 23 runs, walked 25 times and compiled a .392 OBP.
