Cutthroats Winston August's #1 Pitcher Thursday, September 1st , 2005 Last month's cream of the crop on the mound was Pat Winston of the Denver Cutthroats. He captured the Professional Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding performance in August. Winston started 6 games, threw 48 innings, yielded 22 hits and logged a 3-2 record. He put down 63 batters on strikes, walked 14 and compiled a 1.31 ERA. Opposing teams batted .137 against him. This season Winston has gone 7-6 with an ERA of 2.32, posting 150 strikeouts in 124.1 innings. |
