St. Louis-Chicago Trade: Rodenbough for Farwell Wednesday, August 31st , 2005 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the St. Louis Lions and the Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to a deal that will have 18-year old minor league 2B Jacob Canady and 23-year old minor league 3B Mike Rodenbough heading to Chicago in exchange for 28-year old RHP Rico Abreu and 31-year old LHP Brent Farwell. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. So far this year Farwell has made 18 relief appearances with 5 saves, thrown 22.1 innings and struck out 22 with a 2-3 record. |
