5-for-6 Game for Roberts Monday, August 22nd , 2005 Chris Roberts knows as well as anyone that in baseball, the biggest contracts go to the biggest hitters. At Camelot today, he made his case to be considered among that group. The 25-year-old right fielder hammered 5 hits in 6 chances, though the remarkable effort came even as his Los Angeles Knights fell, 6-5, to the Atlanta Pilots. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," Pilots manager Andrew Scharbach told BNN sportswriters after the game. "Thankfully, we were able to do enough elsewhere that Roberts wasn't the difference." Chris Roberts hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, singled in the 9th and flied out in the 12th.
