5 times is the charm -- at least for Jonathan Thornton.

The Chicago Blackhawks right fielder tore up the Los Angeles Knights to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Camelot today. The offensive onslaught from Thornton powered the Blackhawks to a 11-2 win.

"Thornton was a tough out today," Los Angeles manager James Walker said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Jonathan Thornton singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Andrew Schumacher in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

In his season totals Thornton has 2 home runs and a .388 batting average.
