Blues Drop Knights, 5-2
|
New York City starter Jonathan Faulk had a strong outing against the Los Angeles Knights at Camelot. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. The winning pitcher was Faulk, now 8-4. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 9. The triumph puts New York City at 43-38 for the season.
Bobby Haff, the 35-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Haff contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the third inning to put New York City up, 3-0.
Haff attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
