Blues Deal Cutthroats 4-3 Loss
|
Behind the hitting of Matt Lopresti, the New York City Blues stopped the Denver Cutthroats, 4-3. Lopresti was 2 for 2 with a home run, a triple, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs for the Blues. With the win, the Blues have a record of 38-36.
New York City used a well-timed hit by Zack Taylor to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Blues ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said New York City manager Daniel Mays.
