Woodall Leads Warriors to Win
The 8-3 Washington win over Chicago was due largely to Brad Woodall. The Warriors second baseman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Washington reliever Kevin Tilley picked up the win, upping his record to 10-5. Javier Aguilar was saddled with the loss. The win for the Warriors raised their record to 44-22.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Victor Araque was at the plate when Washington scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Warriors to go in front, 4-3.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Woodall told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
